The Night of Laylat al-Qadr
This night is more precious than a thousand months,
Only once a year, on one of the last nights of the full moon, when the moon rises closer to morning, at the false dawn*, the crown of that night appears—a shift of light, and the moonlight blends with the light of the false dawn. On the eastern horizon, against the pale yellow moonlight, those sweet, white gates open—the bestower of abundance.
How could it be otherwise?
This is the night of Laylat al-Qadr (Laylat al-Qadr)—the Night of Power and Predestination.
What is predestined for us will surely become ours.
*The false dawn appears as a vertical streak of light, reaching upward across the sky, while the true dawn spreads evenly across the horizon.
