Belorussky Railway Station

The station, the Belorussky railway station. The station of our history and patriotism. From here, young recruits were sent to the front. From the bed and into the hell of the bloody meat grinder of the murderous military machine.

I remember the movie, Belorussky Railway Station. The memories of old soldiers about the Great Patriotic War. It was a difficult time. A cruel time of our all-out battle against the enemy. Mozhaisk, Vyazma, Smolensk. Minsk, Brest. There are countless cities, and each one has its own war. There is no corner of the planet where war has not shown its ugly face. Billions of innocent people have given their lives for the well-being, prosperity, and happiness of future generations. It is a pity that we sometimes forget to whom we owe our happiness and freedom. Victory! The year 1945. How long we have been waiting for this day. How long we have been waiting for this day. How many bloody battles we have fought. The Battle of Kursk. The Smolensk cauldron, the Brest fortress, the border between Poland, Ukraine, and Belarus. They took the first blow of the enemy, the German plan BARBAROSSA. They remained on the battlefield until the last drop of blood, preventing the enemy from breaking into the USSR.

It took the military commanders-in-chief of the Wehrmacht four days to penetrate deep enough into the territory of the RSFSR. It was only when the frosts set in, which the invaders had never experienced before, that they gradually realized that the war was lost. However, the top officials of the Reich, who had not set foot on Soviet soil, refused to acknowledge this. They continued to send their soldiers to their deaths and to exterminate not only other nations, but also their own.

Everyone believes that the Second World War began on June twenty-second, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one. That's neither here nor there. The war started much earlier. Not even on September 1, 1939, when the Germans occupied Poland. No. The war began when the Nazis came to power. It happened on July 31, 1932. In the Reichstag elections, the NSDAP party won 37.3% of the vote and 230 mandates out of a possible 608. And in 1933, the NSDAP, led by Hitler, came to power. In the period from March 5 to March 9, 1933, the federal statehood of Germany was ended: the liquidation of the old federal lands and the creation of a unified system of administrative and territorial administration of the country were announced. And on January 30, 1933, German Reich President Paul von Hindenburg appointed Adolf Hitler to the post of chancellor.

Everyone thought Hitler was the savior of the nation, but he almost led the world to total destruction. No one knows what the world would have been like if Hitler had won the war. There would have been no peace. Fortunately, that didn't happen. And it was largely due to the Soviet wars. The wars that sacrificed their lives to save humanity. Young soldiers, barely out of school, took up arms and went to war. The tears of sorrow and parting were unlikely to comfort their mothers. Someday they will return to their home.

Most of them found their peace on the battlefields. It's scary. It's scary when someone doesn't return home, when they die. But it's even scarier when mothers bury their children. They hate the murderers and volunteer to go to war. To the battlefields, to avenge the death of their loved ones, to uproot this plague from the Russian land, and to bury it forever, deep underground.

Belorussky Railway Station. How many stories has it seen since it was built? How many stories can it tell us? There is no end to it. We will always remember those years. The years of fierce battles to the death, in the name of life and goodness. All of this is Belorussky Railway Station. How many tears and sorrows has it seen in its lifetime? How much joy has it seen? Belorussky Railway Station. The station of our history, the station of our memory. The station of the history of the USSR and Russia. Let us never forget the feat of our people, of the whole planet, in the fight against fascism. We have no right to forget. We will always remember. As long as we live in this world. And when we have children, we will tell them and make sure they never forget this bloody battle.
