A dung fly...

  By Alex Feldman

If a dung fly appears in your home,

                don’t learn to coexist.

                Throw it out.

                It's not a great loss.

This is a compact, aphoristic poem built around a simple but loaded image:

the “dung fly”

The last line is key:

“Невелика потеря.”

“It is no great loss.”

The poem feels almost proverb-like—minimal language carrying ethical instruction.

The Russian original is very spare and imperative.
