Right now, I am addressing my colleagues in the field of composition and other musical disciplines directly, with a proposal to take a close look at the concept of ‘Tonal Atonality’. Consequently, future publications on this subject—each of which will explore the academic underpinnings of its origins—will increasingly move away from journalistic writing. As they say, we began ‘lightly and simply’, but we shall conclude as the subject demands. For everything here is far more substantial and significant for each of us than it might seem at first glance.

And here is why.

What follows will be not just about me as the author, nor even about ‘dear old me’ at all, but about an innovative worldview that holds potential extending beyond the scope of specific individuals and musical creativity as such.


Let me explain.


The thing is, ‘Tonal Atonality’ is one of the modules within the unique educational system known as the ‘Unified Learning Process’, which I developed around ten years ago. On this basis, I was offered a choice: to defend a doctoral thesis, or an academic thesis, or even to tackle both at once, if I felt up to it. But at the time I declined; or, to be more precise, I simply stepped aside – I almost ‘disappeared’ from the academic spotlight. For I knew, in part – I suspected and sensed – that the times ahead would be far from ideal for pioneering endeavours such as mine. Time has shown that I was right, and this, unfortunately, is still the case to this day. I should point out straight away that the aforementioned offer came to me from an official and equally well-known organisation – I won’t specify which of the Academies just yet. I’ll return to this topic in the near future – once I’ve defended my thesis, I’ll explain how it all works.


To put it another way, times are changing once again, so the time has come.


So I invite gifted musicians – and simply good people – to get involved, not to ignore this topic, but to share it. For the good news is not about academic degrees at all, but about life itself in its loftiest sense. Something that is constant for all, for the benefit of everyone now and in the future – for the good of the Human Race and in harmony with Nature. In this, I hope to remain not only an author, but, above all, someone who sincerely wishes to see, in my lifetime, how Humanity will once again begin to rediscover its true – human – face.



My aim is simply that my modest contribution to culture may serve as a help in this endeavour, just as your participation does.
