4 Line Planetary Kinship Gate 59 of Sexuality

The fourth line always answers the question: “How is this transmitted to others?”
Here, the line answers the question: “How is intimacy transmitted to others when the body stops maintaining the habitual division between our own and outsiders?”

MORNING TUNING-FORK CALIBRATION

Canon: “You will disperse your flock. Primordial good fortune. You will disperse your hill. This is not what the barbarians think.”

A flock brings together those who have already been recognized as one’s own and separates them from everyone else.
As long as this boundary remains, intimacy is transmitted only within the familiar circle: between relatives, like-minded people, members of the same group, or those who share a similar experience.
The fourth line breaks the dependence of connection on belonging.
First, the flock dissolves—the habitual gathering of one’s own.
Then the hill is broken apart—the very foundation from whose height the world was divided into separate territories.
Differences between people do not disappear.
But the body no longer uses them as a ready-made answer to the question of with whom kinship is possible.
It gains the possibility of recognizing someone close beyond family, group, culture, territory, and shared biography.
A connection arises between people that did not exist before and could not have been anticipated within the previous system of distinctions.
This is the primordial good fortune of the fourth line: Life creates new kinship where the old program saw only separate shores.

Image of the Line — The ;resund Bridge

The ;resund Bridge is a combined bridge and tunnel across the ;resund Strait, connecting Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, with the Swedish city of Malm;.
It is the second-longest bridge in Europe to carry both road and railway traffic within a single structure.
The two shores belong to different lands and remain distinct.
The bridge does not erase the distance between them or turn them into a single territory.
It creates a new path of interaction that did not exist before.
Part of the route passes above the water; another part descends beneath it and disappears from view.
A connection does not need to remain continuously visible in order to continue working.

Tonality — The Possibility of Kinship Beyond Differentiation
The old program required differentiation.
Division into groups preserved diversity and made it possible to select the most open consciousnesses for the continuation of movement.
The fourth line discovers a possibility that this program did not anticipate.
Differences remain, but they no longer determine between whom intimacy is possible.
The shores remain different. The necessity of remaining disconnected disappears.
Where It Is Felt in the Body
Division is radiated by the whole body before it becomes a thought or a statement.
It may appear as an averted gaze, held breath, tension in the skin, constriction in the chest, a change in posture, or a shift of weight away from another person.
When the habitual division weakens, the breath gains more space.
The gaze stops defending the boundary.
The body can retain its separate position while simultaneously discovering a movement toward the other.

Frequency Octave:

Shadow — Dishonesty as Closed Kinship
Intimacy is permitted only with those who have already been recognized as one’s own.
Differences become evidence of incompatibility.
The body maintains the boundary between groups even when the actual interaction is already offering the possibility of another kind of connection.
The flock is preserved at the cost of an encounter that could have changed the structure of the space between people.

Gift — Intimacy as Planetary Kinship
The body recognizes closeness before the mind has time to examine origin, belonging, and similarity.
A person remains themselves and allows the other to remain different.
An honest connection arises between them, requiring neither a shared territory nor a previously established right to kinship.
Here, Intimacy does not mean reducing the distance or merging.
It becomes the capacity of connection to pass through differences.
The phrase “the right to kinship” is especially precise: the Gift requires neither the flock’s permission nor proof of origin.

Siddhi — Transparency
When the need to determine who belongs and who does not disappears, differences cease to obstruct the passage of Life.
Each individual body becomes transparent to the whole connecting with itself.
Kinship is no longer created. It is discovered as the primordial condition of Life.

Social Role — The Connector
The Connector creates the possibility of interaction between people who were previously separated by belonging.
The Connector does not assemble a new flock or demand that different shores become alike.
Their presence opens a path through which connection can enter Life and take on a new form.

Distinction of the Line:
59.1 discovers the limit of one’s own capacities and accepts the help that is provided.
59.2 instinctively recognizes whom to move toward when the barrier dissolves.
59.3 allows another to cross the boundary of one’s separateness and tests what is born from the union.
59.4 transmits intimacy beyond personal closeness, creating kinship between shores that were previously divided.

Body Button — “This Is Not What the Barbarians Think!”
When I notice myself dividing people into our own and outsiders, I stop and listen: where is my body radiating this division?
What has already become a boundary—my gaze, held breath, tension in the skin, constriction in the chest, the turning of my torso, or the desire to move away?
I do not force myself to draw closer or try to destroy the boundary immediately.
I remain with the bodily sensation and notice whether a movement toward the other arises that was not anticipated by the previous division.

Energy of the Line:
Creating new paths of interaction between different forms of life without the need to erase the differences between them.

Reference Points:
- Where has my body already divided people into our own and outsiders?
- Am I responding to the person themselves or to their belonging?
- Can a difference remain without becoming an obstacle to intimacy?
- Is a path arising between us that did not exist before?
- Am I turning this new kinship into yet another closed flock?

Phrase of the Line:
The shores remain different. The necessity of remaining disconnected disappears.

Formula of the Line:
By opening to honest intimacy, I allow my body to recognize kinship beyond our own and outsiders and to create connections that did not exist before.
