1. Не пастуший ль рог звучит,
Воздух утренний пронзая,
Ангел ли поёт в тиши,
Новый день нам возвещая?

2. Был ли ты мечтой моей
Из неведомого мира,
Украшенье жизни всей,
Той, что счастье подарила?

3. День лучами озарял,
Трели птиц ласкали небо.
Серенадою для нас
Солнце пело про рассветы.

4. С песней исчезал рассвет,
Растворяясь, в небе таял.
Поднимался солнца свет -
Пробуждался мир, мечтая.

5. Распускались лепестки.
Солнце поднималось выше.
И касание руки
Обретало счастье свыше.

6. Ты смотрела на меня
Так пронзительно и нежно.
Солнце пело в небесах,
И сиял нам день безбрежный...
 
7. ... День наш убежал вперёд,
Солнце за холмами скрылось.
Устремилась ночь в полёт.
Время в вальсе уносилось.

8. Я смотрюсь в твои глаза,   -
Не могу в них наглядеться.
Ты всё смотришь на меня,  -
Очарованы навечно.

9. Быстро ночь от нас летит.
Как такое всё возможно?
Сердце радостно стучит. -
Вечно ль счастье длиться может?

10. Будет музыка звучать.
Окунёмся в радость танца.
Не устанем мы мечтать,
Бесконечно в мир влюбляться.

11. Смотрим на звезду с тобой.
Над землёй мечта кружится.
Будем пить мы за любовь,
Флиртовать и веселиться.

12. Будут лёгкими сердца,
Пьём мы за любовь и нежность.

Then the touch of your hand
Made you real to me.

And the sun riding high
Seemed to say, «What a day, what a sky!»

7. But the day hurried on,
And the sun found a hill and was gone.
Night is flying fast.
Time is dancing past.

I wonder if a joy like ours can last?
