Her goodbye

She left at dawn, the world still gray,
Her shadow stretched, then slipped away.
I stood in silence, heart in hand,
An empty station, a lonesome man.

The clock ticked slow, the wind stood still,
Her absence carved a hollow thrill.

When she walked away, the sky turned thin,
A fragile shell I’m living in.
Her footsteps linger, soft refrain,
Echoes dancing, whispering pain.

The tracks were cold, her warmth had fled,
The words we spoke still in my head.
A suitcase packed with dreams untold,
She chose the road; I watched it unfold.

Her scent remains, a fleeting breeze,
A haunting tune in minor keys.

When she walked away, the world grew bare,
A melody lost in the air.
The train departed, fading song,
But her goodbye still lingers long.

When she walked away, the world grew bare,
A melody lost in the air.
The train departed, fading song,
But her goodbye still lingers long.

The train departed, fading song,
But her goodbye still lingers long.

But her goodbye still lingers long...

But her goodbye still lingers long...
