Somewhere in a small village, in a wooden house, lived a family of three. A little boy named Harold was helping his father carry the freshly chopped firewood closer to their house. When he returned for another armful of wood, his dad smiled and said to his son:“Well done, Harold!” After that, he drove the sharp blade of the axe with all his might into a prepared piece of wood that was meant to become firewood, and wiped the sweat from his forehead. “I think that’s enough firewood for today.” “Look, kiddo,” he told Harold when the boy returned for a new portion of wood, pointing to the most beautiful landscape opening up before them. In it, white, light snowflakes were smoothly swirling in weightlessness.“It’s nothing short of magic,” Harold marveled, admiring the snowflakes falling from the sky.Suddenly, the man glanced at his wristwatch and said:“Let’s head back home. Mom must be tired of waiting for us by now.” Stepping onto the threshold of the house, Harold was hit in the nose by the smell of fried potatoes with meat.“Oh, my boys are back!” Harold’s mother said joyfully, peaking out from the kitchen. She was wearing a yellow dress with a black apron over the front. “Wash your hands and sit at the table, the potatoes are already done!”After washing his hands, Harold quickly popped into his room, where a great many pictures of pirates hung on the wallpaper. The boy examined one picture after another, dreaming of becoming a pirate too. And not just any pirate, but the bravest one, like Captain Helm from his favorite book, "The Curse of Captain H."“Harold, son, where are you? Dinner is getting cold!”Hearing his mother’s voice, the boy started with surprise; he had completely forgotten why he came to his room. The kid quickly took off his outdoor clothes, folded them neatly, put them away in a drawer, and, putting on his home clothes, hurried to his parents at the table.“Sorry,” he said to his parents, sitting on his chair between them.“Looking at pirates again?” the dad asked the boy, smiling.“Yes!” he answered joyfully.“My, why do you like pirates so much?” the mom smiled, kissing her son on the crown of his his head. In the deep of the night, Harold woke up from a ringing sound. It was a pebble thrown at the window. The youth got out of bed and approached the window. On the other side of it, he saw a young lad, who was the one who had thrown the stone. Having approached the window, he saw a classmate from the fifth grade, and opened the window:“Liam, hi! What do you want?!” Harold asked the lad.“I FOUND SOMETHING HERE!!!!!” the latter shouted. “Come outside!!!!”Harold became terribly curious about what Liam had found that made him unable to wait until morning. In a hurry, he put his pants on backwards and jumped right out of the open window, which was located low to the ground. Running up to Liam, he pounced on him with questions:“What? What did you find!???!”“Come on, faster!!!” Liam hurried Harold. “OVER THERE!!!!!”The boys came to a deep pit, and Liam, bending down to it, pulled out a LARGE map, yellowed with time, with various lines. And when the duo saw a LARGE red cross on the map, amazed by their find, they started jumping for joy. After all, it was a real treasure map!

~MANY YEARS LATER ~

Harold and Liam, having grown up, got jobs and, having saved up a large sum of money, built a HUGE ship. It stood at a pier that was located nearby. The cold sea water, creating waves, raised and lowered the ship.“Wow,” Harold said, standing on the wide pier and admiring his freshly built ship.“I can't wait until we set off on our first voyage!!!” Liam said joyfully. The boys managed to recruit a crew of TWENTY people! Who, without hesitation, immediately agreed to go on a journey across the endless ocean. They all, without any objections, chose Harold as the captain of the ship, giving him their word that they would be brave and loyal assistants to him. When the boys climbed aboard the ship, a beautiful panorama opened up to them: the sun setting below the horizon, which cast its rays onto the sea water, like a striped tiger, the sea was covered with the rays of the sun.“Well, sailors, tell me your names,” Harold said, addressing his nineteen future ship assistants, standing in front of them. And next to Harold, on his right hand, stood his faithful comrade Liam.Everyone was calling out their names while Harold was walking past.“I am Tristan,” the first youth introduced himself. He was thin, with coal-colored hair.“I am Valentin,” a tall lad with a wide smile on his face called out. (He was probably anticipating the feeling he would get from sailing on a real ship).“Eliot,” the third, well-built guy introduced himself.“BJORN!” the fourth shouted out his name.“Vsevolod,” Fabian,”“Hugo,”“Gabriel,”“Felix,” each introduced I am Sebastian,” the last, twentieth one finished.Harold looked over his crew and said, having stepped onto his ship that was smoothly rocking on the sea waves, and having placed on the brown table the ancient, time-yellowed map that he and Liam had found in their childhood and kept to this day:“Here is the treasure map.”After these words, all the members the ship members leaned over it with curiosity.“Is it real?” someone’s doubtful voice was heard.“That is for you and me to find out,” Harold said resolutely and placed his index finger on the red cross, which marked something unknown on the map. “Right here, Liam and I suggest, is where a treasure is buried.”“And what if you are wrong?” Gabriel squinted cunningly.Bjorn, hearing these words, punched his future crewmate in the shoulder:“What are you saying?!?” he asked in surprise. “We must hope for the best, and you... Where is your fighting spirit?!!”“Right!!” Valentin supported Bjorn.“Okay, okay. Have it your way,” Gabriel gave up.“And wouldn't it be better to stay here and not sail anywhere at all?” said Vsevolod, who was worried about the entire crew. At these words, everyone nineteen pairs of eyes stared at him in surprise. “What?”“Guys, OFF WE GO!!” Harold commanded. “RAISE THE ANCHOR!!!”Eliot, the well-built youth, ran to a thick, iron mechanism resembling a large spool of thread and began to spin it with effort. It set into motion. A loud clang of iron was heard, the thick chain tightened, and soon a HUGE, rusty anchor appeared from the clear sea water. When the chain pulled the giant object to the side of the ship, Eliot fixed the iron spool so that the anchor would not drop to the bottom of the sea again, and the ship unmoored from the pier! Captain Harold himself stood at the helm of the GIGANTIC ship, glancing at the map in Liam's hands. The weather was good, the sun was shining brightly. The HUGE ship cut through the large, foaming waves with its "bow". Nineteen curious, young sailors, leaning over the side of the ship, admired the crystal clear water, which hit the wooden bottom of the ship with a thud and then broke into tiny, cold splashes. -WE ARE LIKE REAL PIRATES!!!!” Hugo shouted, having climbed onto a HIGH mast and looking at the front horizon. “Guys, REEFS straight ahead!!!!! HARD A-PORT!!!!!!”Harold spun the huge helm to the left, and because of this, the ship listed heavily to the side and was about to capsize!!!!!But then Angus came to everyone's rescue:“FRIENDS, RUN TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SHIP!!!!”The entire ship company obediently moved to the starboard side. They firmly grabbed the side railings of their marine transport vehicle and leaned heavily over them. The ship's hull creaked reluctantly and slowly took a horizontal position again! At the same time, when it leveled out, its bottom hit the water so hard that it rose as a HUGE wave and dispersed in the opposite direction from the ship. At the same time, the crew managed to turn the ship before it crashed into the reefs!“HOORAY!! GUYS, WE DID IT!!!!!!!” Tristan exclaimed. Now, when the ship passed the dangerous section of the ocean, Harold turned the ship in the direction they had been sailing before the obstacles.“I'm going to the cabin,” Valentin told the company. “To take a break.”He approached a small room and, opening the wooden, creaking door, disappeared behind it. Into the hold.A strong wind began to blow. Because of it, the large, white sails billowed, and they carried the ship much faster.“The wind is blowing in the direction we need,” Liam noticed, holding the treasure map in his hands. “This plays into our hands.”“Guys, who wants to eat?” Luca inquired of everyone.“I do!” nineteen inhabitants of the vessel answered at once. (Not counting Valentin, since he went to rest).Luca pushed off from the side of the ship, where he had been admiring the splashing ocean, and went to the galley to see what he could scrounge up.But as it turned out, there was no food there. They needed to cook. Vsevolod came to Luca's aid, and together they set to cooking. (The boys had stocked up on all the necessary ingredients before setting sail.)“Harold, I have bad news,” Aslan addressed his captain, having been watching the horizon from the high mast. “A storm is coming!” Aslan, Salvador, Bjorn, and Magnus. TAKE IN THE SAILS!!!!” Captain Harold commanded his comrades. They completed the task, but the ship unnoticed sharply hit the very center of the storm. Here the ocean waves rose so high that they reached the top of the highest mast! Then a deafening clap of thunder was heard, and right after it, a flash of blindingly bright lightning flared up, illuminating everything around. Huge, foaming waves tossed the ship like a toy. Sea water had already flooded the entire deck, and so as not to slip, the guys held onto the railings of the ship, and moved around in this manner.“I SEE AN ISLAND STRAIGHT AHEAD!!!!!!” someone shouted, but because of the deafening thunder, Harold did not understand whom this voice belonged to.The captain of the ship gripped the helm so tightly that his knuckles turned white. Ice-cold water "flew up" above the ship and settled on the sailors, who paid no attention to it and thought of only one thing: to reach the island faster. visible in the distance.“HELP!!!!!!” Oswald’s voice was heard.Ray, barely recognizing the anxious voice of his friend, ran up to him and saw only his legs sliding along the outside of the ship right into the raging ocean. Without wasting a single second, Ray ran closer to Oswald and with both hands, not without effort, dragged him back onto the ship. Suddenly, the ship hit something, and because of this, it jolted. Some of the guys fell onto the deck.“What is that...?” Ferdinand said in fear.“The island,” Harold breathed a sigh of relief. They dropped the huge anchor into the water so that the ship wouldn't sail away and went ashore. It was a small island. The large, green leaves of the tall, slender palm trees were swaying from the strongest gusts of wind that the storm had whipped up, so much so that they bent low to the ground. The ocean lunged at the shores of the island from four sides and then receded, leaving only white, foaming froth on its greenery-overgrown shores. Waiting out until the mighty storm subsided, the guys took out the boiled potatoes from the ship, which Luca along with Vsevolod had peeled and boiled, and so as not to eat just potatoes, they opened a jar of lightly salted pickles to go with them. The guys had a delicious meal and lay down on the tall grass to rest after today's heavy and exciting day.“Listen, guys,” Sebastian addressed his comrades. “We are just like in the book 'The Curse of Captain Helm'!” You read this book too?!” Harold was surprised.“Of course,” Sebastian smiled. “It's my favorite book!”Meanwhile, while the friends were resting and talking among themselves, Eliot found palm trees that stood close to each other, and climbed them in the middle, spreading his legs in opposite directions, and in this way held onto the bark of the palm trees with his boots.“Crew,” he called everyone over, and when they turned in his direction, he said. “I found a coconut here! Do you want some?”Having waited for an answer, Eliot reached out his hand to the spherical fruit, and having plucked it, slightly relaxed his legs, and because of this, he slid down the bark of the palm tree with his boots. When the guy was already close to the ground, he straightened his legs and landed on the ground, and approached the others.“Man, you're cool, El,” Tristan marveled at his comrade, running a hand through his coal-black hair.“Thanks.” The guys used a knife to open the large coconut and set about its elimination. It turned out to be very juicy and sweet.Fabian took the treasure map in his hands and, squinting, said thoughtfully:“People, the treasures, they are here. On this island.”“REALLY??!!!!!!!!!” Felix was amazed. The band of young navigators tore themselves away from eating the delicious coconut and surrounded Fabian from all sides. And he rose from a sitting position and, heading somewhere, said:“Follow me.”The crew moved after their comrade. The young treasure hunters walked around the entire island, and when Fabian finally said stop, his small army halted.“The map says the treasure is here.” The youth pointed to the ground. To the place where the map "said": the treasure is here. The guys brought shovels from the ship and set to digging. The crew dug for a long time but stubbornly, and there, deep in the ground, something flashed blindingly. The friends dug up a HUGE, rusty chest! It had apparently spent a decent amount of time underground. When it was pulled out from under the ground, all sorts of living creatures immediately began to scatter and crawl away from it: spiders, earthworms, caterpillars... When the young pirates opened the chest with a knife, a large cloud of dust immediately rose from it, from which they all sneezed at once. After that, the contents of the chest opened before their eyes. Large gold coins, diamonds as clear as glass...“Guys, WE DID IT!!!!!!” Tristan said, shouting out the last three words.
The team barely managed to drag their found treasure to the ship's side and sailed on to roam the expanses of the ocean.

THE END...

And what adventures await Harold and his brave crew, you will find out in the second chapter!
