Chasing the Sun
And we rush after it, you and me.
We're chasing our happiness, running blind,
Our dreams drown in sorrows left behind.
We just can't seem to catch it, you'll find.
But in the morning, the sun rises behind our back,
And with new strength, we're back on the track.
A distant land will never be home, it's true:
We walk straight for the Sun, chasing the dream in view,
Through all mountain chains and eternal ice, me and you.
We lose our innocence on the roads we tread,
In battles for truth and the right to live, instead.
We keep searching for a reason to be happy, my friend,
To finally be happy in the end.
And every morning is given from above — to live, to spend.
