The morning breaks in whispers
A golden thread across the waking sky.
The dew clings to the fern’s emerald spine,
A diamond tear for nature’s sweet design.
Here, in the hush before the day begins,
The world awakes from deep and ancient dreams.
The wind moves through the branches, thin and thin,
Like fingers tracing patterns on the streams.
I walk alone where shadows stretch and bend,
Beneath the canopy of green and gold.
The scent of pine ascends, a fragrant friend,
A story that the forest has untold.
Each leaf a heart, each root a silent vow,
To keep the earth in balance, deep and true.
The light pours down like honey, rich and slow,
And paints the meadow in a shade of blue.
Oh, how the river sings its liquid song,
Reflecting clouds that drift like ghosts above.
The water flows, both right and never wrong,
Carrying the weight of love and doubt.
It kisses stones with cold and gentle lips,
And shapes the path it chooses for its own.
A mirror for the soul, a quiet trip
Into the depths where wild things have been known.
The air is thick with pollen and with peace,
A sweetness that hangs heavy in the breeze.
I breathe it in, and feel my spirit release,
From all the noise of human complexity.
Here, time dissolves like sugar in the rain,
And moments stretch into eternity.
No clock can mark this sacred, sweet domain,
No master’s hand can dictate destiny.
The birds return to their hidden nests,
Their songs weaving a tapestry of sound.
I watch them fly, I watch them rest and rest,
And feel the ground beneath my feet is ground.
Not dirt, but memory, not soil, but skin,
Of Mother Earth who holds us all so close.
Let chaos end, let peace begin again,
Within this garden, wild and beautiful, most.
I am a part of this, a small detail,
A single note within the grand refrain.
The wind remembers every breath I felt,
The sun has seen my joy, has seen my pain.
But here, in nature’s arms, we are the same,
One pulse, one beat, one endless, rolling sea.
I whisper back her name, her holy name,
And set my wandering spirit free.
So let the twilight come with purple hue,
And stars ignite the velvet dark above.
I’ll stay until the moon pulls me through,
To find my place in nature’s endless love.
For in this wild, romantic, breathing space,
I find the truth that cities cannot hide.
A quiet grace, a slow and steady pace,
With nowhere left for fear or sorrow to hide.
