Becoming an Eternity
As we see from the statements of the beloved disciple of the Lord of the Apostle John, the importance of the presence of love in man plays the greatest meaning. The apostle Paul argues this, explaining only in other words: “If I speak with human and angelic languages, and I have no love, then I am a ringing copper or a kimval sounding. If I have the gift of prophecy, and I know all the secrets, and I have all knowledge and all faith, so I can also move the mountains, and I have no love, then I am nothing. And if I give away all my estate and give my body to be burned, and I have no love, I have no use in that. 1After. Cor.13:3. And here is the remark of the Apostle, verse 3: “And now these are three: faith, hope, love; but the love of them is greater”
The word is now telling us that faith is only on earth. When we love God, we believe that He is, otherwise, who we love. But when We are with God in eternity, faith will remain on earth. We won't need it anymore. But on the other hand, without faith in God, love for Him will not appear. First we must understand that God is, to understand that He is the Creator and saved me, having undergone great torment on the Calvary Cross, to understand all His spiritual heritage for people and much more that leads us to the love of God. How can you love God if you don’t believe He is??? Also, without renunciation of their selfishness, without love for people, it is impossible to become a sincere believer. A person who loves people who disbelieve in his life cannot stay, because God is in him. It seems that everything is right, but it is necessary to clearly define in the steps (consistency) of the emergence of faith in God and love in man to people and to God. Here is the sequence:
Step 1: The emergence of love for people. Love for people is the result of the destruction of selfishness. The first stage leads a person to gain faith in God is the 2nd stage. Faith in God generates in us the knowledge of God and worship before Him love for people (to me and you). In his greatness, Calvary and the blood of Jesus Christ are revealed in his greatness, which has destroyed our (mine and your) sins in our lives and the original sin of Adam and Eve. And then man begins to understand his unbelief as his sin before God, and the conscience exposes him in this. The emergence of guilt before God gives birth in a person to repentance is the 3-th step. All this makes faith in God in man, which ultimately gives birth to love for God in a person, losing its meaning. This is stage 4.
So we have the following time sequence: 1. Love for people. 2. Faith in God. 3. Repentance. 4. Love for God. Repentance and love for God can happen at the same time, but it is possible to say with 100% certainty that love for God cannot be without repentance before God.
Repentance and Love for God always accompany the Christian faith and come from it. Faith leads to repentance and the believer repents the Holy Spirit, together with God, receiving the Birth of the Higher, therefore the salvation that God promises to him. God does not deceive people. Only repentance together with love for God, give salvation to man. To be with God, you have to have peace with Him. Peace with God cannot come without repentance before God. An example in the relationship with God we take from the human family. If the children have wronged the parents (committed a sin) or even more so did not recognize them as their father and mother, the first thing they should do when returning to the family is to ask for forgiveness from parents, otherwise a life together will simply be impossible. This is the repentance of man, and God awaits when God says "repent and believe in the Gospel" Mark 1:15. The two words of the Lord REPENT and SALVATION stand together (the Gospel is the message of salvation). We need to understand this well.
Without repentance, you can believe, as demons do, but these creatures will not receive salvation. It is not enough to know and believe that there is God. We still have to have peace with God! Can a son return to his father in a human family when he did not recognize him for anyone before returning, when he told people that he did not consider him his father. Only a request for forgiveness can continue their life together. In the Prodigal Son, the Lord says that it is not faith that makes a life together with the Father of Heaven, but only repentance to Him, for the prodigal son has always known that there is a loving father. Of course, people can do faith and repentance, but the Lord does not speak of them in John 3:16. The Lord began his ministry with a call for repentance, but not of faith (Matt. 4:17) It says a lot!
