Similarity Principle - the Basic Law of Nature
Resonance is a physical phenomenon, which can be described as waves with the same phase and frequency overlay each other and sum up their crest amplitudes.
When you swing, it is possible at a small effort to highly increase the angle against the vertical line only when you come into step with its own movement (frequency).
What’s going on around us? We attract people with the similar character, behavior and perception manner similar to ours. But one can retrace these kinds of similarity in people (animals) in other aspects. If somebody irritates us it is necessary to analyze our past and recent thoughts and acts, which were mistaken and aggressive against someone.
Sometimes not simply to find that aspect in which similar lines of our character are shown. Sometimes it’s not simply to find that aspect in which similar lines of our character are shown. But persistence and deep introspection will yield the results. If well mentally to concentrate on the matter, the answer will come.
For example, for a long time my colleague’s greed irritated me until I realized that I have a similar feature – “information” greed. I often visited bookshops and bought many interesting books. The information, as well as money, is an energy equivalent. And energy is given to the person in order to maintain one’s life and health, as well as to perform a certain mission on the Earth – the extension of one’s family, the performance of social functions (positions and duties) etc. This is the way energy (money, information) should work – provide benefit, instead of being stored for emergency case and remain useless.
Simply collecting information without using it is the same as saving money without spending it even on essential things.
As soon as I understood that we have something in common, only in other aspect, I stopped getting annoyed with the colleague.
When we show any aggressive program of behavior, which exists in our subconsciousness we active it by energy impulse. This way we give out energy for its functioning.
Other person’s similar program also receives energy of corresponding quality and a range of frequencies, being imposed on our own program it creates resonance. As a result, this person acts and reacts in the same way when he/she is near us. And often it has even more powerful manifestation.
For example, you go along the street, thinking about something, and, suddenly somewhere near you a dog starts to bark annoying you with this sound. In this case it is necessary to think: why it has begun to bark at my presence? As a rule, it happens when you mentally criticize or judge someone, can't reconcile with someone's act. The dog reads your aggressive mood and, using your energy of indignation, discontent, and attack, gives out actions of similar quality on the physical plan.
In this case it is necessary to thank a dog and your own forces that they have brought you to it (or it to you) and have shown you that it is you who displays aggression. This way, using a similarity principle, it is possible to understand signs which are given to you for correction of your vital reactions and behavior programs, for harmonization of your consciousness, subconsciousness (soul) with the world around.
Using the similarity law it is possible to understand any problem as an information about your actions in the past.
So, for example, if someone deceived you, it is necessary to think, whether there is someone, who has been deceived by you voluntarily or involuntarily deceived who remembers the insult. It is necessary to acknowledge the troubles which this person has got, and to ask him or her mentally to forgive you and to take away the insult.
The “Like attracts like” law is one of the basic laws of space, which working on evolution of the whole creation at all levels of hierarchy.

As for a dog's ability to "read one's mood", that's preposterous. Dogs read others' body language and may perceive it as threatening or not depending on the most subtle movements. Even in human-to-human communication body language carries 55% of a message, compared to 38% attributed to intonation and 7% to words only.

Animals feel energy more sensitive, than human beings.
Concerning an example about a barking dog – I was acquainted with this theory in a youth when it was strenuously proved that hypnosis doesn't exist. Here one phenomenon is dexterously substituted for another as they exist practically simultaneously. At my example I was walking with aggressive thoughts and the dog was far and didn't see me absolutely.
The importance of emotions control is realized perfectly by trainers of predatory animals. They know this law from their own practice.
