The Man in the overcoat was walking along his way.And the Rain was falling down.
The Man was walking along the pavement. And the Rain was falling the way he wanted. More likely the way he was allowed to fall down.
The street lanterns were casting reflective glares on the puddles. But the Man in the overcoat kept walking taking no notice of them, until he bumped into a dense stream of light flowing through the glass door. Colourful reflections danced inside  the stream, making kind of soft circles, moving  in an odd dance of their own. The Man in the overcoat suddenly stopped, hesitating. Then he turned up the collar of his coat, his feet rooted, his feelings balancing on the verge of tranquility and delight. He stood still for a moment , pondering whether to go or not, then  thrust his hands in his pockets and stepped into the light stream without hesitation.
Nothing extraordinary happened. Having joined the stream, the Man just dissolved in this flood of light, leaking through the glass door and then disappeared behind it.
And what about his overcoat? Actually it fell down the pavement full of  numerous  multicoloured glares. And then it followed its Master being pulled through the gap under the door by a sudden draft from Nowhere .
That time the curious Rain could not reach for his Man in the overcoat. And it was his greatest concern. He tried to look through the windows , seeking for him, but nothing could be seen there. He felt miserable. It was so sad for him to be walking all alone, but he had no idea what to the Man in the overcoat could have happened. And so he kept waiting.  If people hadn’t slept that night, many of  them could have thought it strange, why it rained only in that particular district.
Finally the door half opened  letting out from inside the heap of notes, laughter with scraps of phrases, and two overcoats followed them on the way to the pavement. Two elegant  overcoats. A moment later two vague silhouette materialized inside thе coats. Making a step from the light stream into the night, those very silhouette turned into commonplace men wearing overcoats.
“Let’s go”,- the Man in the overcoat said to the Rain and beckoned him to follow. At first the Rain tarried in indecision, but in a moment, pulling himself together, rushed after those two.
“Basically, if there are two Men in the overcoats… Maybe it’s even better..The more the merrier, maybe,”- the Rain thought.

Сложный рассказ для перевода, а Вы интересно с этим справились...
Мне понравилось)
Всё думала, сказали бы носители Man in the overcoat, потому что обычно такое выражается Man wearing an overcoat, но мне понравился Ваш вариант. Думаю, так нормально)))
И вообще, такие тексты переводить очень трудно!
Так что Вы - большая молодец)))
