Вагиф Султанлы

Vagif Sultanly was born in 1958.
He graduated the philology department of Baku State University in 1976-1981.
He worked as a journalist in the literary programs of Azerbaijani offices of «Liberty and Free Europe» radio of USA in 1995-1998.
He was the chief editor of «Khudaferin» journal (1995-1996) published in Poland and «Araz» journal (1996-1997) published in Sweden, of the «Philologial researches» compilation (1996-2002) published in Baku and «World Azerbaijanis» journal (2002-2010) which is published in USA.
Currently he is the professor of the department History Azerbaijani Literature of Baku State University.
He has published more than 20 books of novels, short stories, literary criticism and essays.
